Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the case) out to the first position to set the date, or to the second position to set the time. Turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust. Push the crown back in fully when done. If your watch has a screw-down crown, unscrew it first before pulling.
The wooden band uses individual links secured by a small 1.4mm side screw (the screwdriver is included with your watch). To remove a link: locate the screw on the side of the link, turn counter-clockwise to loosen, slide the link out, reconnect the band, and tighten the screw clockwise. We recommend a watchmaker or jeweller for first-time adjustments.
Tense watches are splash resistant but not designed for immersion. Remove your watch before showering, swimming, or submerging it. Wooden bands are particularly sensitive to prolonged moisture -- dry thoroughly if they do get wet.
All repairs and returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) before shipping. Contact us first — 604-474-0422 or service@tensewatch.com — to receive your RMA# and shipping instructions. Include your name, order number, and a brief description of the issue in your email.
Apply a small amount of the conditioning oil (included with your watch) to the wood every 3–6 months, or whenever the wood looks dry. Use a lint-free cloth to buff in the direction of the grain. Avoid exposing the wood to direct sunlight for extended periods or storing in very dry or very humid environments.
First, check the battery. Most Tense Watches use a standard SR626SW, SR621SW, SR927W, or a SR916SW cell available at any watch shop or pharmacy. If the battery is fine, make sure the crown is pushed all the way in -- a partially pulled crown can stop the movement. Still stopped?
